The annual meeting of the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Study Group (FASDSG) will be held one day prior to the annual meeting of the Research Society on Alcoholism. This year, the FASDSG meeting will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the Grand Hyatt, Washington DC. We are delighted that the program will include keynote speakers Dr. Carl Keen, Dept. of Nutrition at UC Davis, and Dr. Stephen Suomi, National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, addressing the theme: “Factors that Influence Brain and Behavioral Development: Implications for Prevention and Intervention of FASD.” In addition, presentations will be made by Kathy Mitchell, Director of the National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, as well as our membership (FASt data presentations). Finally, the meeting will include updates from our funding agencies and award presentations recognizing an exceptional student/postdoctoral fellow and the 2008 Rosett award recipient.
We look forward to seeing you in Washington DC for an informative and stimulating meeting!
