ACER Journal Award for Early Career Investigator Outstanding Paper

Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research (ACER), the journal of the Research Society on Alcoholism (RSA) and the International Society for Biomedical Research on Alcoholism (ISBRA), is accepting nominations for the ACER Outstanding Paper for early career investigators. This award recognizes an outstanding scientific publication in ACER by an individual who is a student or postdoctoral fellow at the time of paper acceptance (the nominee must be within four years of their terminal degree at the time of submission). Papers published during the 2019 calendar year are eligible (from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019). Awardees will be recognized by ACER, and at the annual RSA meeting. In addition, the recipient(s) will be awarded registration for the 2020 annual RSA meeting and receive a $500 award.

For consideration, a nomination letter is required (typically from the senior author) and must describe (1) the role of the early career investigator in the project and write-up of the manuscript, (2) the potential impact of the research report on the field, and (3) why this individual warrants this recognition.

Nomination deadline is January 31, 2020.
